The SuperTuscan Tour
The term "SuperTuscan" is used referring to those wines belonging to the last generation.
They are a blend of international grapes like Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, etc. and the Italian
Sangiovese, aged in new oak barriques. The Italian denomination is IGT, Geographic Typical Identification.
The wines are produced all over Tuscany. The first Italian “SuperTuscan” wine is the famous "Sassicaia" produced in
Bolgheri. Leaving from the "Relais la Suvera" a three-day trip is organized visiting the most
famous wineries for wine lovers who want to learn more about these great wines.
