To keep alive local traditions and not forget the sensations of genuine Tuscan cuisine.
A new experience, to be in touch with Tuscany’s historical rural culture and with the life as it was on farms.
This Osteria La Gramola offers cooking courses where one learns to prepare traditional Tuscan meals,
just like the delicious meals cooked in the Osteria. The Chef, Cecilia Dei, and the Sommelier, Massimo
Marzi lead you to discover the ingredients, the flavors, the wines as well as the history of Chianti
and its people. Together, you’ll taste dishes and products from this area through a very
informative enogastronomic journey.
In each session at Osteria La Gramola you will learn to prepare a typical three-course lunch. After the course you will enjoy the
meal you cooked together! The course can be repeated for more lessons, in which you will prepare a
different menu but always with the following layout:
- 1st course – Soup or pasta with different sauces
- 2nd course – Main course – preparation of a meat dish
- 3rd course – Dessert or home-made cakes
During these lessons you will learn about and taste the local wines and olive oils and other typical products and
receive explanations about the area where they are produced and more . . . a nice surprise from the Osteria La Gramola to take home with you!
Starting at 10:00am, these lessons last about 4 hours. At the cooking school of the Osteria La Gramola no minimum number of participants is required.
