Convivium Firenze -- Catering and Banquets
Convivium Firenze is a first-class catering company which was founded in Florence in 1980 by four caterers and reception organizers.
The company has kept growing, and it now has 10 partners who are all actively involved in its management. In 1997 Convivium Firenze moved to its present prestigious headquarters: a XIV century farmhouse in Viale Europa, which was carefully restructured and named Canto al Paradiso. Here you can not only taste and buy Convivium's delicacies and selection of cellar wines (the Canto al Paradiso includes a wine-tasting room), but also discuss the wide range of options offered for the organization of receptions and banquets in outstanding Florentine villas and private palaces.
The coat of arms of Convivium Firenze is that of the XIV century Guild of oil sellers and grocers in Florence, a red lion rampant holding an olive-tree twig in its claws. It symbolises the original philosophy of the company: the preservation and enhancement of the ancient Tuscan and Florentine culinary traditions, based on the expertise and direct involvement of each partner in the company's activities, well as on constant exchange and synergy among them all, which guarantee top quality results.
Convivium's Receptions Department and show-room are located in the Salone del Caminetto on the first floor of the Canto al Paradiso. This refined and comfortable environment is the ideal place to conceive an ad hoc menu which will give a reception the flavor of an unique and unforgettable event. The quality we offer is not that of food alone, but also that of the accessories which make a banquet or gala dinner successful: tablecloths, glasses and tableware, flower decorations and any other special arrangement required by our clients.
The Salone del Caminetto is also a perfect place for briefing sessions, book presentations, cooking seminars, or indeed guided tasting sessions aimed at popularizing our wine and cuisine culture.
